Sample Vision Statement Format
Heading of vision statement document: ______________________________
Date of submission of vision statement: ______________________________
First Paragraph: The first paragraph of a vision statement should outline the nature of the company whose vision statement is being prepared. Information must be provided with regards to its functions and profile. A vision statement must correspond to the actual work done by a company or organization as it cannot exist independent to material realties. A vision statement only proposes a magnified version of the kind of work already being done by a company, the heights it is desirous of reaching.
Second Paragraph: The second paragraph of a vision statement must outline the vision itself. It must be practical yet inspired and this delicate balance must be achieved by someone who is well versed in the workings of the organization. This is the most important section of the vision statement as it records the vision itself.
Third Paragraph: The third paragraph of a vision statement forms its conclusion. It must restate the vision once again to place emphasis where it is due. The vision proposed by the vision statement should be of value not only to the organization but also to society and mankind.
