Program Scope Statement

A program scope statement is a document which contains a comprehensive idea of what a program is aimed at, its purpose, its capacity and its targets. This is a document which is prepared before actual preparations for the program, and it serves as a guiding document for the organizers which enables them to follow it to perfection.

Program Details:

This program is the result of year long conference on Western Classical Music, organized by the Tristram College, Dublin. The program shall be held on the 25th of May 2012 and repeat performances shall be held on the 25th of June 2012 and 25th July 2012.

Scope of the program:

This program brings together exponents in western classical symphony from Germany, Italy and France. The scope of this program is immense and it has generated huge interest in the department and beyond. The budget for the program is a staggering 75,000 pounds, most of which have been sourced from the Centre of Advanced Studies in Western Music, jointly set up by the University and the Embassy of Germany.

Program Objectives:

  • To ensure further coordination between various nations in aiding research and performance based objectives.
  • To set up international fund and regulatory bodies, which can inspect the activities hosted by the Centre of Advanced Studies in Western Music. This shall ensure stringent quality checks and incentive-based activities.
  • To create a vast repository of archival documents and performance records which can be maintained well, and be a source of knowledge and interest to students and performers alike.
